Your engagement photos mark the most beautiful moments of your life, so why settle for anything less than perfection? Located on the banks of the Potomac River near the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts represents an elegant location for an engagement session and should definitely be on your “must-do” list.
Between the seven theaters, the Millennium stage, the Hall of Nations, the Hall of States, and the Grand Foyer, the center gives you all the beautiful backgrounds your heart desires. It's also the home of the National Symphony Orchestra and Washington National Opera.
When entering the building, we love the two main sets of doors as a really beautiful place to stop for a while and snap a picture. The entrance closest to the Watergate complex will take you into the Hall of States. Walking on the red carpet, stretching along the 250-foot long hallway, gives you a feel of an award show. What a touch of glamour to add to your portraits! One of our favorite spots is the 56 flags draped from the ceiling in the hallway. Each of the 50 states, the 5 territories and the District of Columbia are represented in the order of admission.
We're also sure you'll adore how the center is decorated with gifts from around the world. It's such an amazing place for creating some romantic and unique pictures!
The indoor of the center provides very diverse and vibrant backgrounds for a bold photography statement. The manicured outdoors provide chic and gorgeous backdrops to your photos, too. This location has so much to offer your engagement photos with its colors and ambiance.
