The Charles Deering Estate in Miami is a perfect location for a memorable engagement shoot.
The estate is a 21st-century historic preserve that offers tours of historic houses, the Stone House and Richmond Cottage, as well as the lush natural areas. You'll even find fossil bones dating back as far as 50,000 years! The Deering Estate is more than historic buildings; it also preserves a remarkable 444 acres of land, which includes pine rock land, coastal tropical hardwood hammock, mangroves, salt marshes, and a coastal dune island. From canoe tours to butterfly walks and guided nature hikes, the estate has so many opportunities for you to take a step back in time and find locations for beautiful photographs.
One of our favorite spots on The Charles Deering Estate is the wine cellar, and the site is full of all sorts of stories and history. The cellar is in the basement with 45,000 bottles of champagne, wine, and spirits. Another location we love at the Deering Estate is the view of the boat basin from the Stone House. It’s a fantastic place for Miami engagement photography!
The wide variety of unique, historic places will make for exciting backdrops for your photographs. A hidden gem of Miami, The Charles Deering Estate is an especially great location for couples that love history.
