Just to the north of Los Angeles in the city of Northridge is the Delmar T. Oviatt Library, the central library of California State University, Northridge and a fantastic spot for your engagement shoot, full of interesting architectural and landscaping elements that will inspire you for a creative session.
The library’s exterior features many striking elements that will bring your photographs to life—it is a building full of fascinating angles, constructed entirely in a light color that provides an interesting contrast against the lush green of the spreading lawns as well as the blue California sky. The roof rises up high above the covered portico and is held by 10 columns, creating a grand impression of angles and shapes that will fill your photos with visual interest.
Down on the lawn, you can enjoy the lush greenery that is interlaced with walkways that stream out to the rest of the campus. For the couple that loves libraries, reading, or modern architecture, this is a fantastic place to shoot. Its proximity to the city as well as the uniqueness of the location makes the Oviatt Library a great spot for LA engagement photography. You’ll leave here with photos you love.
