Right in the middle of the city is the ideal location for your engagement shoot, The Kansas City Union Station. The station is a historic structure that dates from 1914, and its vintage architecture and feel, as well as the variety of backgrounds, textures, and surfaces, make it a fantastic spot for Kansas City engagement photography.
An architectural masterpiece and a piece of living history, the station is certain to inspire a fun session. Inside, it feels all at once warm, magical, and elegant. Everything here is impressive and grand, but perhaps the most jaw-dropping feature is the Grand Hall, with 95-foot ceilings, and three 3,500 pound chandeliers, and a 6-ft clock hanging in the central arch. The massive arched windows provide a touch of the dramatic. You’ll enjoy seeing the different combinations of textures and being inspired by the lacquered wood storefronts and geometrically-patterned stone.
Outside and around the station, you’ll find other elements like brick pillars, fence posts, and other symbols of the city that will add even more variety to your shoot. This unique destination is just the right amount of retro and elegant for the couple who wants to show off the best their city has to offer.
