Located in the heart of Houston is the Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park, a striking location for your engagement shoot. Built in 1983, the Waterwall is a multi-storey sculptural fountain in Houston’s Uptown district. It’s one of the central pillars of the Houston landscape and a popular venue for picnics and other outdoor get-togethers.
The fountain is 64 feet tall, covered in cascading water that rushes down the different levels of the sculpture. The rushing, rippling water truly makes an astounding backdrop for your session. Surprisingly colorful with bands of blue and white, the water almost looks like lace or snow as it falls down the sheer sides of the sculpture, creating new, fascinating shapes every second. In contrast, the floor of the sculpture is smooth concrete, making its texture look almost velvety in comparison with the fountain’s waters. Gracing the front portion of the sculpture is a stately brick gate with a white-pillared archway that provides a fascinating view of the fountain.
The Waterwall is an iconic landmark with breathtaking design, making it a wonderful spot for Houston engagement photography. It will make a strong statement for the couple who wants to show off a beautiful piece of their city.
