Have The Wedding Of Your Dreams at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial
Every detail of your wedding day is significant. The dress you wear, the flowers you carry, the food you eat; each element comes together to create the wedding of your dreams. One of the most important aspects of your wedding day is where you choose to host it. Our Detroit wedding photographers are particularly fond of the Grosse Pointe War Memorial.
The massive lawn, manicured gardens, and romantic fountain provide stunning wedding photography opportunities. We especially love to take photos in front of the shimmering waters of Lake St. Clair. Facing the lake, the impressive architecture of the Grosse Pointe War Memorial will catch the eyes of you and your guests. Celebrate on the back lawn with this dramatic structure behind you, or move inside and celebrate in the Crystal Ballroom or the Alger House.
The Crystal Ballroom can accommodate up to 250 guests. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer amazing views of Lake St. Clair while the glistening chandeliers, rich wood parquet, and silver accents will keep guests in awe inside the ballroom. The Italian Renaissance style Alger House was built in 1910 and is now listed on the State of Michigan’s registry of historic sites. Inside of the Alger House, the Reception Room, Dining Room, and Library feature massive stone fireplaces, soaring beamed ceilings, and French doors with views of the lake.
We feel certain that you will find a space at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial that is exactly what you have been dreaming of for your wedding day.
