Loyola University Campus
Located in the beautiful neighborhood of Edgewater in Chicago is the peaceful campus of Loyola University, a fantastic spot for your engagement session filled with many different architectural features, well-designed landscaping, and natural beauty.
Founded in 1870, Loyola University’s Lakeshore campus is just steps away from Lake Michigan. Here you’ll have your choice of architecturally rich backdrops, from brick walls, stately white pillars, cascading steps, and green lawns dotted with trees, to the striking turquoise door of the Cudahy Library. One of the excellent examples of art deco architecture on Loyola’s campus, the Library’s white and delicately detailed sides also provide an interesting and elegant backdrop.
The Madonna Della Strada Chapel is another wonderful piece of art deco history, with molded sides and angular geometry. From under the arches of its covered walkway, you can gaze out over Lake Michigan. The modern architecture of the Damen Student center with its sheer front of smooth glass provides yet another contrast for you to experiment with in a fun and creative session.
Its fantastic location on the lakeshore and the immense variety of backdrops and natural elements make the Loyola University Campus a wonderful spot for Chicago engagement photography. You’ll love the looks you find here.
