Can you say dream home? That’s a vast understatement for the Palladian estate of the Liriodendron Foundation in Baltimore.
Nestled in the woods just outside the city, this esteemed estate is brimming with rich history. It was the summer home of Dr. Howard Kelly and his wife Laetitia. Constructed in 1898, the Georgian-Revival-style Liriodendron mansion is a 2.5-story stuccoed brick structure designed by a Baltimore architectural firm. Liriodendron was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
The estate also comprises the 1835 Georgian-style Graybeal-Kelly House, an 1835 bank barn, an 1898 carriage house, an 1850 board-and-batten cottage, and five other outbuildings including a corn crib, a smokehouse, two ice houses and a shed. Needless to say, there’s no shortage of alluring places and props for your Baltimore engagement photographer to capture.
Wander the immaculate grounds edged with flower and boxwood gardens. Take in the vibrant wisteria climbing the stately front porch - an attraction in itself at this locale.
With shaded portico use in the summer or intimate fireside parties in the winter, Liriodendron is a gorgeous setting for Baltimore engagement photography no matter the season.
