Nestled against the Colorado River is Commons Ford Ranch Metropolitan Park, a gorgeous 215-acre retreat filled with beautiful views of the water, short hiking trails and volleyball courts for you to discover the perfect background for capturing your engagement photos. Here you’ll love the calm waters of the Colorado River, the rolling hills of the park uplands covered in prairie grasses with native flora and fauna, and interesting wildlife and wildflowers. The incredible views of the surrounding foothills should be mentioned, too. The amazing features of the park will provide bursts of color to your photographs.

The Waterfall Trail is just over a mile round trip and takes you along a wooded creek to several small waterfalls. If you are an adventurous couple, these locations can provide a bold statement to your photos. The prairie at Commons Ford is a restored site and features many native kinds of grass and wildflowers. We love the wide, open area of the park for its vast and impressive nature and its opportunity for an engaging session backdrop.
