We don’t know if your love story started at your university or college but tying the knot at Georgia Institute of Technology could be a distinctive yet beautiful experience anyway. Also known as Georgia Tech, Georgia Institute of Technology sits proudly in North Avenue NW in Atlanta, GA. Crowded as a top-ranked public college and one of the leading research universities in the USA, the Georgia Institute of Technology also moonlights as a venue for weddings in Atlanta.
History
Founded in 1885 as the Georgia School of Technology as part of Reconstruction plans to build an industrial economy in the post-Civil War Southern United States, the school initially offered only a degree in mechanical engineering. Later in 1901, it added electrical, civil, and chemical engineering to its curriculum. In 1948, the school amended its name to Georgia Tech with an aim to show its emergence from a trade school to a larger and more capable technical institute and research university. Known for its degree programs in computer science and engineering, Georgia Tech today has six colleges and comprises around 31 departments/units, with an emphasis on science and technology. Both organized and intramural student athletics are part of student and alumni life. The school's intercollegiate competitive sports teams, the four-time football national champion Yellow Jackets, and the nationally acknowledged fight song "Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech", have always kept Georgia Tech in the national limelight. Also a member of the Coastal Division in the Atlantic Coast Conference, Georgia Tech fields eight men's and seven women's teams that compete in the NCAA Division I athletics and the Football Bowl Subdivision.
Established as part of the school's General College in 1963 under the leadership of Ben Logan Sisk, Georgia Tech's Music Department in 1976 was assigned to the College of Sciences & Liberal Studies, and in 1991 it was shifted to its current home in the College of Design. In 2009, it was reorganized into the School of Music. The Georgia Tech Glee Club, founded in 1906, is one of the oldest student organizations on campus, and still operates today as part of the School of Music. The Glee Club was among the first collegiate choral groups to release a recording of their songs. The group has toured extensively and appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show twice, providing worldwide exposure to "Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech". Today, the modern Glee Club performs dozens of times each semester for many different events, including official Georgia Tech ceremonies, banquets, and sporting events. Committed to improving the human condition through advanced science and technology, the Georgia Institute of Technology is a public research university and institute of technology in the Atlanta state of Georgia. It is part of the University System of Georgia and has satellite campuses in Savannah, Georgia; Metz, France; Athlone, Ireland; Shenzhen, China; and Singapore.

According to a 2018 survey of real weddings, conducted by the wedding website The Knot, wedding venues account for roughly half of the average couple’s overall wedding investment. But the cost isn’t the only reason your choice of wedding venue is a big deal. When it comes to planning a wedding, you are confronted with many decisions. There are a lot of things to consider: the dress, the date, the photographer, the flowers, the officiant, the guest list…it can all get a bit overwhelming. Choosing a venue is one of the decisions that will have a huge impact on your event and you as a couple. The date of the event, catering options, and attendees’ pleasant experiences … all are somewhat affected by which venue you select. Undeniably your wedding venue plays a backdrop to your wedding photographs and hence it should not be anything less than perfect as it will stay forever in the folds of your wedding albums to tell the tale. Therefore, choosing a professional and affordable wedding photographer is an equally crucial decision as photos are forever and work as a gateway to travel back to the good ol’ times. A wedding photographer or videographer who knows how to make the most of your choice of venue is a person whom you will thank whenever you will flip through your wedding photo books.
