The industrial buildings in the area date back a century and are so breathtaking they've been selected for the National Register of Historic Places. Discovery World is another great spot that highlights the city at its best. If you're looking for a natural setting, check out Whitnall Park and Mitchell Park. Whitnall Park is a wooded wonderland, and Mitchell park will give you a view of water flanked by an expansive grassland.

02. MITCHELL PARK
The differences between Whitnall and Mitchell Park illustrate the variety to be found in the Wisconsin landscape. Instead of woods, Mitchell Park gives you the expansive views of the plains. Of course, there are still some lovely trees that punctuate the landscape. You'll find some picturesque wood-planked walking paths. The undeveloped look of the park will make you feel like you're experiencing Wisconsin in its natural state. The water is bordered by a line of shrubs and bushes. You'll find tall grasses and so much more. It's also home to the Sheryl Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts, making it well worth the short trip west from Milwaukee.
The Historic Third Ward in Milwaukee is a remarkable industrial play place. We're not alone in our regard the Historic Third Ward. It's been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. You'll feel the palpable charm of the turn-of-the-century architecture. The most amazing thing about the Historic Third Ward is that all of the industrial buildings are in mint condition. The neighborhood, which is now home to Milwaukee's Arts and Fashion District, is peppered with theaters, galleries, restaurant, and boutiques. It's an easily walkable place, right on the Milwaukee River, and it's rich in authentic urban flair.
