About Me

Hey, I am Katherine and I am a Phoenix-based photographer. I started shooting weddings many years ago. I am fortunate to be able to do what I do. I hang out with great couples who are madly in love, surrounded by their friends and family and I get to capture it all, tell their stories, and make them happy! Since becoming a wedding photographer I have shared some amazing experiences with some fantastic people and made some great new friends! I have been photographing weddings for 10 years.

What is your photography style?

My style is a mixture of documentary, portrait, and contemporary photography. My goal for a wedding is to make the clients (and their guests!) enjoy the photography as opposed to having to endure it. I take a relaxed approach to any ‘staged’ shots that are taking place, such as the group photographs or the couple photographs to make it as engaging as possible. When I can get the crowd laughing with me it results in much more relaxed natural looking pictures.

How do you approach shooting in new venues?

I enjoy to shoot at the new venues where I have not been before. I Always check out the location ahead of time and have all the shots and locations planned out before getting started on the wedding day.
