On this Veterans Day, we can't help but feel a debt of gratitude to all of our country’s service members. On this day in 1918, WW1 finally came to close. With the end of the ‘war of all wars’ as it was then known, Veterans Day became a national holiday to honor those who gave their service and commitment. Here at George Street Photo & Video, we’d like to thank all current and previous military members for their service, and with that, we pay tribute to a few of our favorite military grooms, brides, and their families on their wedding day.
What a beautiful tribute to the battle cry of the US Marines for this groom on his wedding day!
Our military men take such pride in the appearance of their uniform, all the way down to the last button! We love that our US Army groom will have these beautiful wedding photos with his dress blues to cherish for years to come from such a wonderful day.
We love this candid shot of our Army groom having a cheerful moment with buddies before his ceremony!
Who says you both can’t wear white? This bride and her Navy sailor look absolutely stunning on their wedding day.
They say a picture is worth 1,000 words, and we have to say -- we agree! We love how their wedding photographer captured this bride's wedding ring upon his fatigues.
The Arch of the Sabres/Swords is one of the many military wedding traditions of several different branches with each branch maintaining a slightly different variation. True for all, only the bride and groom can pass under the swords, and this is done as a way to welcome the couple into their military family, or in this case, their Air Force family. It also symbolizes a pledge of loyalty to the couple from their service branch in return.
We love the pride that these service members show on their wedding day and every day. From all of us at George Street, we thank you.
