One of the most underrated landmarks of a new year is the announcement of the Pantone Color of the Year. It combines all the fervor of a hot, new trend with unlimited creative freedom, and this year is no exception. 2019 is the year of Living Coral! Coral has always been a wonderful primary or secondary color for weddings, and in honor of its title as Pantone Color of the Year, here are some of our favorite ways to use coral in your wedding.
Flowers are a great place to start. Coral looks sensational as the main hue for your bouquet, or you can use it as an accent to make your flowers pop and add dimension to your wedding photography.
A splash of coral for the menswear will make the groom or groomsmen look extra dapper. Not sure how to tackle it? Try looking for ties with flecks of coral, argyle socks where coral is an accent color, or using coral in the boutonnieres.
What do you pair it with? Coral looks lovely with navy and most shades of blue. You can also let coral be the star of the show (after you, of course) by pairing it with white. Coral bridesmaid dresses will make a white wedding dress shine. Coral suspenders look festive and handsome with white shirts. Coral and white centerpieces will make your reception breathtakingly airy.
Coral looks even sweeter when incorporated into your cake. A magnificent row of coral flowers looks dramatic and vivacious cascading down the side of a cake. Or you can accent a small, one-tier cake with a couple of individual flowers. This is a great way to make the ever-trendy naked cake pop!
