The rich heritage and history of Sacramento double up in its long-standing churches spread across the city and some dating back to as early as the 1700s. There are so many reasons why our wedding photographers in Sacramento love capturing the extravagant work of art that churches feature, posing as a backdrop of beautiful unions. There’s no denying the aesthetic draw of incredible structures and architecture of churches that attract extra attention for their angles. And hence, hosting a church wedding in Sacramento can dazzle your wedding photography session with its extraordinary beauty.

On a bright fall morning of 2018, when the sun was shining bright and clear, we met our to-be married couple from California- Leza and Mark, who opted for a beautiful church wedding and later moved on to a garden-inspired wedding at a private residence in Sacramento. Stealing our hearts with their sensational cheery energy, this Californian couple exchanged their wedding vows and promised forever to each other in an intimate church setting, and our Sacramento wedding photographers were delighted for this amazing opportunity of capturing their joyous union set against pretty backdrops. Their vivacious moments were captured in a beautiful wedding album that will be treasured forever, which can be their ticket to this glorious day, and they can visit their big wedding day whenever they want to and relive these moments again and again.

The day started when our stunning bride Leza got ready early and posed for some breathtaking bridal portraits before the wedding ceremony began on the church grounds. We were swept away by the way she looked so dreamy in her crisp white wedding gown which was an intricately embroidered sleeveless train wedding dress with a sweetheart neckline and illusion back details. We love the low plunging neckline and the delicate lacework which makes this wedding dress so exquisite. She looked super stunning as she paired her amazingly pretty bridal look with minimal jewelry consisting of a sparkling drop earring and a round pendant. The trendy fall-inspired bridal bouquet consisting of white, magenta, yellow, and green floral ensembles along with her uber-trendy bridal hairdo featuring a beautiful bun adorned with a pretty hair accessory, and a few face-framing tendrils of hair made her bridal look complete.

The breathtaking and memorable bridal portrait session of Leza gave us a tour of the vibrant backdrops that this wedding ceremony venue in Sacramento had to offer. From the naturally cream-colored walls creating a neutral texture to the vibrant green landscaped grounds with vintage elements came to life as she posed with her beautiful mom and dad. The family portraits of this Sacramento wedding before the ceremony truly captured our hearts as both the bride and the groom posed for stunning family group portrait sessions with their respective parents and the wedding gang. Our dashing groom Mark aced his trendy groom look with a gorgeous three-piece electric blue suit with a gray tuxedo and a crisp white shirt. Completed with a pair of glossy brown formal shoes, a lovely navy blue bow, and a white and orange floral boutonniere. Leza and Mark looked extremely photogenic in their stylish wedding ensembles, and the gang of groomsmen's attire managed to capture our absolute attention as they got dressed up in gray suits, matching navy blue bows, boutonnieres, and formal brown shoes. The unforgettable groomsmen photography session before the ceremony also was beautifully orchestrated with Mark as their centerpiece.

The immaculately landscaped grounds of this traditional wedding venue in Sacramento gave us some of the most beautiful wedding photos just before the wedding ceremony. The sun-dappled grounds came to life as the vibrant green grass, the cobblestone pathways, and the towering trees gave rise to amazing photo ops for the wedding gang to click some of the most unforgettable bridesmaids portraits and groomsmen photos that we will take as beautiful memories from this wedding.

The pretty bridesmaid dresses caught our attention too as they were dressed up in magenta-colored midi dresses with illusion necklines and beautiful neutral heels along with matching bridesmaid bouquets as a picturesque ensemble. The gang of bridesmaids looked exclusively pretty in that magenta bridesmaid dresses when paired with the dashing groomsmen attire in charming grays and neutrals. The heartwarming groomsmen photos as they sat on a bench with Mark in the middle gave us "friendship goals". The gorgeous bridesmaid photography with Leza in the middle also screamed "BFFs for life" as they posed in the sunlit grounds of this classic Sacramento wedding venue.

The wedding ceremony commenced at a vintage church known as the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sacramento. Our Sacramento wedding photographers did a fantastic job of capturing each and every precious moment of this picturesque wedding in preserve-worthy keepsakes. This wedding venue in Sacramento was a beautiful church setting featuring a small white clapboard building with a high peaked roof and interior walls featuring a creamy white color. The high rise gable roof with exposed vaulted wooden ceilings of Douglas fir, the colossal arches with golden boundaries, the dark mahogany pews flanking the beautiful aisle for the bride to walk, along with the clerestory windows and wrought iron chandeliers inundating the event space with bright lighting, gleamed up the entire atmosphere with an ethereal glow and gave way to unforgettable Sacramento wedding photography session.

There was not a single dry eye during the wedding ceremony as the couple exchanged their wedding vows and was declared husband and wife by the pastor. Everyone cheered and congratulated the newlyweds as they made their wonderful wedding exit and kissed in front of the main church door, as the sun shone brightly on them and made them look straight out of a fairy tale. The wedding gang regrouped for capturing precious family moments in wonderful souvenirs. From the parents posing with the newlyweds to them being surrounded by the cute little flower girls and the adorable ring-bearer pulled our heartstrings stronger than ever and made us note our favorite must-have wedding photos in every nuptial affair.

Right after the wedding ceremony was over, our stunning and gorgeous couple Leza and Mark headed to a nearby golden pasture in the golden hour. The newlyweds orchestrated several stunning couple portraits with the dreamy golden wheat field and slightly overcast skies as their backdrops. We were completely blown away, by the way, they embraced each other and created scintillating chemistry for their couple portrait session. From the heartwarming "first look" to the way, they looked at each other with so much love, each and every detail shots of this couple portrait session in Sacramento will stay with us for a long time for its unparalleled warmth.

After the couple's photography session was over with the wheat field backdrops, the couple came back for their evening reception which took place at a private wedding residence in Sacramento. The amazing detailed shots with unmissable elements strategically placed throughout the private reception venue in Sacramento mirrored the stunning artistic sense that our newlyweds owned. The detail shots range from a black and white LED glow sign that said "LOVE" in bold letters to the vintage garden inspired backdrop of the wedding party table that featured a wooden signboard that said "with my whole heart for my whole life", our Sacramento wedding photographers were taken on a spin by the sheer mesmerizing beauty of this evening reception in an intimate garden setting. Right from the wedding bands along with the promise ring placed on wooden tree bark to the sequinned reception backdrop with a signboard that said "no longer two but one", the exhilarating garden-inspired wedding details were truly phenomenal.

There is truly something so mesmerizing about garden reception settings, as they are not only picturesque to look at but also invigorates the aesthetic spirits of everyone attending the event. Whimsical garden wedding ideas have long served as a source of romantic inspiration for artists, lovers, and writers alike. From brides wearing beaded floral headpieces and bohemian bridal flower crowns to dressing up the wedding aisle with wildflowers and exchanging wedding vows underneath woods and cedars for an unmatched bucolic ambiance, there are so many romantic garden wedding inspirations that steal adds a poetic touch to every wedding affair and transform them into photogenic events.

The wedding of Mark and Leza evoked a dreamy rustic charm that made the entire atmosphere innately comforting. The loved ones greeted our newlyweds as they sat in front of the beautiful welcome table with a wooden installation with drapes and roses as a backdrop. The strings of fairy lights formed a dreamy gossamer, woven from a wrought iron chandelier fixed from a treetop and lit up the entire atmosphere with a warm and inviting glow. The expansive cobblestone dance floor right under the romantic string lights was radiated as our couple took their first dance while being surrounded by all their loved ones. Several precious moments unfolded as the evening progressed- from the time the couple gave way to iconic wedding dances right after their first dance. As Leza and her dad took over the dance floor, our photographer captured heartwarming father-daughter portraits that had us reaching for our tissues. Similarly, the moment Mark and his mother came to the dance floor, the beautiful mother-son portraits stirred our emotionally profound souls. The couple then went on to cut their wedding cake which was a trendy three-tiered naked cake with white icing, that was surrounded by an assortment of cupcakes with red and blackberry toppings. The cake topper saying "Mr and Mrs" was the showstopper that made its way to becoming an inspirational wedding cake table decoration for us.

This Sacramento couple gave us a feeling of returning home and being cozy with their charming personalities and inviting qualities. The relaxed atmosphere with soothing neutral tones surrounded by a whimsical bounty of nature and sturdy wooden accents gave rise to memorable keepsakes filled with a sense of intimate aesthetic, whether it was the intimate church wedding in a quaint setting or the rustic-chic reception setting in a garden that glowed like a thousand light bulbs. The organic simplicity and comfort created by the beautiful chemistry of this newlywed couple along with the warm and farm-to-table aesthetics of the ceremony and reception will make us remember this Sacramento wedding in the best way possible for a long time to come.
