Allison and Ayo’s charming LA wedding reminds us of that precious feeling of starting your life with your special one, but in addition to that, it also is a unique feeling of happiness and class which remains constant throughout the day. Allison and Ayo had their hearts set on a Los Angeles wedding and of course, the city gifted them with the most magical LA wedding ever! From the Disneyland Park to Hollywood Sign, from the Griffith Observatory to the Universal Studios, everything is larger than life in Los Angeles! A fabled land with historic landmark buildings and majestic outdoors and located in the cusp of a myriad of terrains, from mountains to beaches to desserts, Southern California city will steal your heart at ‘hello!’ With the Pacific Ocean adjacent to it, and Hollywood Sign sparkling just within reach, this city is a world of contradiction and we love it for that!

A vibrant stimulating city with the prettiest of sunsets and the air crackling electricity and creative energy, this city is as cool as they come! Flawlessly Instagram-friendly and promising artsy murals, sandy beaches, rolling vineyards, and architectural masterpieces, there is a little something for everyone here, regardless of what your vibe is! With every frame looking like it is from a trendy magazine, choosing the perfect frame for your engagement photoshoot or your post-wedding photo session is easy-breezy. Allison and Ayo wanted their guests to experience the best of Southern California’s offerings at Marina del Rey Marriott, a stunning wedding venue for their exquisite dream wedding. Smack dab in the heart of one of the most desirable coastal communities and a mere five miles from LAX sits the gorgeous Marina del Rey hotel, looking like a sight to the sore eyes. Just minutes from the famous Venice Beach, it provides the perfect blend of locale and amenities along with incredible views of the Marina or Santa Monica. With unmatched views of the ocean from our rooftop Bayview Ballroom and patio or the comprehensive services to ensure an entertaining evening, this wedding venue checks all the boxes. Whether one wants to host a wedding in the stylish updated indoor or the gorgeous outdoor venues, Marina del Rey hotel is equipped for both and will surpass all expectations. The hotel's venue spaces can easily accommodate weddings of any size, whether you are planning for an intimate get-together wedding or an extravagant gala for 650 guests. We think the minimal elegance of the wedding venue is the perfect match for the lovely couple at hand, which translated perfectly in those stunning pictures. They sure look like a match made in heaven!

The day of the wedding dawned bright and sunny, and so did the mood at the wedding venue! Before Allison got ready, our Los Angeles wedding photographer dropped in for some precious wedding detail captures. We loved the delicate watercolor stationery and the bridal accessories which added a delicate touch to the picture. We also loved the stark contrast of the ‘his and hers’ wedding bands which were photographed with expertise. Allison was dressed in an elegant bridal gown with a classy mermaid cut and charming sweetheart neckline. The slight train of the dress added to the timeless look, while the bejeweled waistband added a glam factor to the outfit. Allison’s bejeweled headband laced the crown of her head in the most arresting way, while the tulle veil was floaty and gave her an angelic look. Her raven black hair was arranged in delicate waves which fell over her shoulder and her makeup was minimal and radiant. Allison’s jewelry was simple, with a fuss-free pendant and a pair of drop earrings to match and her minimal white pumps completed her look. The bridal bouquet was a gorgeous assembly of pink peonies and burgundy dahlias, making it unlikely but an arresting combination! Allison’s bridesmaids were dressed in well-coordinated but mismatched dresses in blush pink and the overall look was harmonious and aesthetic. They were all carrying similar bouquets to tie in the look together. Ayo and his magenta jacket with black lapels stole all the attention of the night, as he looked dashing as ever in it. He paired it with black formal trousers and a black bow tie worn over a crisp white shirt. A single white rose acted as his boutonniere and looked classy and tied in his groom’s attire perfectly. The groomsmen were dressed in matching gray suits with bow ties and matching boutonniere. We love the agreeable mix of colors of the wedding party in the same color family of blush and magenta and grays and whites which worked out perfectly for the couple, giving them an elegant yet regal look. After our Los Angeles wedding photographer captured the happy melody of colors in beautiful group shots of the bridal party as well as the groom’s gang, along with some stunning portraits with the gorgeous backdrop behind, it was soon time for the ceremony.

The ceremony took place in the most pristine setting of the Marina del Rey Marriott, with the beautiful endless view laid out for the guests to get to witness the beautiful ceremony of the couple. The arbor was decorated in a minimal but romantic flair, adorned with beautiful floral touches and dreamy draped fabric. The most adorable ring bearer soon walked, carrying the rings proudly. We loved the cross which was walked down the aisle too, bearing the details of the wedding date and vocalizing the thought to bear in mind as the lovely couple tied the knot. Allison soon glided in with her father and the look of Ayo’s face as she walked in is surely a precious addition to the wedding album. With the lovely view behind them, and the lovely friends and family in front of them, Allison and Ayo said their vows and got married! As they had their first kiss as husband and wife, and their loved ones cheered them on, it was a beautiful moment to witness and capture. The Los Angeles wedding photographers did the perfect job of capturing this beautiful moment for the frames! 

After the ceremony, the wedding party was gathered by the magnificent golden gazebo for some group photography. The neutral walls along with the opulent gazebo and the romantic tree on the background brought the look together perfectly.  We loved the adorable picture taken with the flower girls and the ring bearer. While the setting was perfect, it only made sense that the couple sneaked in for some more candid couple shots here. The family joined in and the bride and the groom posed with their parents and the precious moment was captured in some amazing frames. The couple rushed back out again to take advantage of those last daylight hours before the sun dipped and posed by the patio and the walkway with the jaw-dropping view in the background.   

As the day blended into night, the couple joined their guests and spent the rest of the moments celebrating the happy occasion by the people that they treasure. The interior was done up with tasteful yet minimal decor and the effect was calming and welcoming. The guest had a fabulous time as they witnessed the lovely couple start the new chapter of their lives together. They soon cut the beautiful three-tiered wedding cake which was adorned with beautiful flowers and had their first dance as a married couple. Each of those delicate moments was captured carefully by our Los Angeles wedding photographer, making the night memorable in every way possible. The wide windows allowed light to pour in, while the drop lights acted as little spotlights that lit up the area with an iridescent glow. The view through the windows never gets old and would wow their guests every time they glanced outside!

No doubt that the wedding venue provided the perfect vibe for the couple and the guests, delivering a wedding day they will remember. But the stunning venue also provided our Los Angeles wedding photographer with some of the most perfect photo opportunities. We loved the way the venue and the couple and the photographers worked in unison to create the perfect photographs. The neutral taupe tones provided the photographers with a blank canvas to focus on the subject instead. We liked the minimal style of the interiors and the wedding detail shots which were captured delicately against the blank canvas. We loved how the venue was so abundant in natural lighting so that every picture felt luminous and clean! The outdoor shots were bright with the blue sky in the background, the sunlight pouring, making it easy for our photographers in Los Angeles to capture every moment of the ceremony perfectly. From the editorial shots to the candid moments, every photograph from this beautiful wedding spoke of a day well-celebrated!

Weddings are for 24 hours, but a marriage is for a lifetime. Your wedding day is one day of celebration with friends and family which you get to relive for the rest of your life. Sure a perfect venue, the perfect dress, and the gorgeous setting make the wedding, but what makes the wedding truly memorable is how the couple looks at each other, and Allison and Ayo can light up any room with the sheer brilliance of their love.
