If I had to describe today's collection of engagement session inspiration in two words, I'd call it "city chic"! And if you know the gorgeous gal who's under the spotlight today, it comes as no surprise that her choice of inspiration isn't just chic — it's the epitome of chic!

We couldn't wait to feature Lindsey, a member of George Street's team of Wedding Consultants, on the blog today — with her effortless sense of style and sweet disposition, it's no wonder she came up with the most inspiring tips for crafting the perfect engagement session!

1. Dreamy and romantic, or vibrant and colorful? Spill the details on what "look and feel" you envision for your ideal engagement session!

In three words, I'd describe the look and feel of my session as relaxed, spotaneous and metropolitan! Having a certain aesthetic in mind definitely matters, but ultimately, I think the key to fabulous photos is to be yourself, dress in a way that makes you feel comfortable and have fun venturing off to the places you love to go!

2. Location, location, location!! If you could pick any spot to shoot your session, where would it be?!

I'm a city gal at heart, so I'd want to go to locations that I frequent most and reflect that metropolitan vibe — cafes, bookstores and movie theaters are at the top of my list! I love the idea of having an early evening e-sesh with street lights, bright theater signage or that twilight-hour light shining through in the photos. Also, I absolutely love architecture! One of the benefits to living in the city is that there's always great street art, brick walls and sculptures that really add a fun and unique backdrop to engagement photos. Breweries, lofted spaces and rooftop gardens all make for really pretty shots, as well!

3. A little bit of color can go a long way! What stunning shades best characterize your engagement session style?

In the rare instance I incorporate color into my wardrobe, jewel tones are usually my go-to. Even if you tend to be more of a neutrals person, adding a bold scarf or statement necklace can go a long way in adding a bit of color to your photos and drawing attention up toward your face!

4. Sweet signs, a picnic for two...there's no doubt props can add an extra dose of pizzazz to any e-session! What props — if any — would you include in your session?

Well, I wouldn't say I'm a "prop" kind of gal — I'm probably the least crafty, DIY-focused person ever! In place of props, I'd want to focus on bold fashion accessories, and various clothing options to swap in and out for a little variety.

5. Engagement photos are all about capturing that newly engaged glow! During your dream engagement session, would you plan to strike a pose or simply live in the moment?

I would much rather live in the moment! To achieve that candid, natural look, I'd definitely want to focus completely on my significant other. I want our photos to reflect how my guy and I look everyday, with a dash of creativity!
