Rise and shine, lovelies! The week has officially begun, which means we're all slowly regrouping and recharging for the 4 weekdays ahead — even if that requires a few extra shots of espresso in our lattes.
Speaking of caffeine...what if I told you I had an energy booster that could put your daily coffee order to shame? Today's Props, Pops & Poses feature is chock full of dynamic details and mood-boosting gorgeousness sure to perk you up! And it's all been creatively curated by David, our go-to source for all things inspiration!
Dreamy and romantic, or vibrant and colorful? Spill the details on what "look and feel "you envision for your ideal engagement session!
I am really inspired by the English countryside, Victorian styles and romance — think "Downton Abbey?! My dream e-session would feature an English garden and buildings with castle architecture. A stunning combination of natural beauty and Old World elegance!
Location, location, location!! If you could pick any spot to shoot your e-session, where would it be?!
Definitely a location that's vintage or historic in some way. My ideal choice? It'd be something that looks like Highclere Castle in Hampshire, England, UK — and speaking of 'Downton Abbey', it's actually the location where the show is filmed. A gorgeous park with vintage charm or a secret garden would also be lovely.
A little bit of color can go a long way! What stunning shades best characterize your engagement style?
I adore bright, cheery colors — spring greens, yellows and maybe some blues. I'd love to incorporate those shades into any accents or accessories we're wearing. Perhaps a fun tie or a pair of patterned socks!
Sweet signs, a picnic for two? There's no doubt props can add an extra dose of pizzazz to any engagement session! What props — if any — would you include in your session?
If we decided to opt for props, they'd have to make sense with the vintage look we're going for. I'm thinking an antique umbrella or old-time car would be the perfect touch!
Engagement photos are all about capturing that newly engaged glow! During your dream e-session, would you plan to strike a pose or simply live in the moment?
It's always nice to have the best of both worlds, especially when you're looking back at the photos in a few years. With that being said, I would definitely love to capture a few organic, in-the-moment shots, with a mixture of posed shots! The perfect combination!
