Here are a few of our favorite unique places on the West Coast that we think are perfect for your engagement photography session.
If you love beaches and wooded areas, you’ll fall in love with what this city has to offer. We love these portrait sessions by the water - and with so much coastal land across the area, you can have your choice of anything from romantic lighthouse to an urban city bridge behind you.
Another city for gorgeous engagement photos is Portland. Make use of your favorite props for a slightly more playful atmosphere, or just let the location speak for itself. Keep in mind how your location can affect the mood of your photos - it all depends on your style!
These San Francisco photos tell quite a story! The columns at the Legion of Honor make for a remarkable yet whimsical scene. We love the vast views of this city from the Point Reyes Lighthouse. While the scenic background is beautiful, the couple is still front and center. Or if you're dying for a quick getaway, you only need to get as far as the Oakland Aviation Museum.
Speaking of iconic views, Los Angeles has its fair share too. Whether you prefer the high skyline views, soft sand and gentle waves, or maybe a stroll along the canal, there are certainly plenty of options for every couple.
Perhaps you are a bit more shy when it comes to posing in front of the camera. San Diego has plenty to do! Cute candid photos await at Belmont Park, and it’s carnival games make for a playful session. There are also many seaside attractions, like the pebble beach at Torrey Pines Natural Reserve, as well as the iconic Balboa Park for some greenery and open spaces.

With all of it's bright lights and iconic signs and buildings, it can be the perfect background for an exciting session, like this one here at the Neon Museum, home to all of Vegas' retired neon.

With it's warmer weather, Phoenix is great for an outdoor session year round! Couples can go for a stroll at the well known Scottsdale Waterfront, take a casual turn on the tracks (non-operative, we assure you!) at McCormick Stillman Railroad Park, or embrace the iconic nature of Arizona at the Desert Botanical Garden.
