Julie and Justin’s Vintage Dream Wedding, LA

Jule and Justin embraced retro and vintage details for both their engagement session and their wedding day.

The couple selected Griffith Park Old Zoo for their engagement photography. We loved the authentic feeling of their session. The two looked comfortable together as they explored the zoo ruins, posing with their vintage car in a style reminiscent of 90s grunge.

For their wedding, Jule and Justin turned the clock back another couple of decades. They held their wedding at The Ruby Street, a church built in 1895. The church is located in the historic area of Garvanza, a small craftsman-victorian pocket in LA. The venue itself has a lovely mix of bohemian and victorian with a dose of contemporary-- the perfect vintage venue.

Vintage details were everywhere in Julie and Justin's wedding. Julie's detailed shoes and bell-sleeved lace dress were perfect for the atmosphere. We love the traditional lace fabric paired with the breezy bohemian cut of the dress. The whole bridal look came together for effortless-looking glamour.

The bridesmaids wore nude dresses. Two of the bridesmaids had solid color dresses, while two wore pale nude dresses with a floral print on the skirt. We love the way this added interest and highlighted symmetry in the bridal party photos.

Justin chose a simple, slim-fit grey suit. He wore brown shoes and a dark tie. The look mirrored the minimalism and natural tones of the venue. The groomsmen wore grey suits, mirroring Justin.

The outdoor ceremony space was ideal for a picture-perfect LA wedding in May. For the reception, the couple and their guests moved indoors. The reception space was stunning, light walls, globe pendants, and plenty of stained glass set the mood for a lovely and lively wedding reception.

We love the modern details that were included in the vintage venue space. Macrame wall hangings, modern matte place settings, and abundant eucalyptus centerpieces adorned the space, bringing in some on-trend details.

The couple used greenery throughout to accentuate the space and heighten the feel of the day. From the enormous bouquets of luscious greenery, the bride and bridesmaids carried to the greenery that graced the tables, Julie and Justin hit it out of the park.

A neon sign always makes for a photo-worthy moment. We loved the "Across the Universe" sign Julie and Justin had. Add that to the wall of donuts, and we've reached the full Instagram-envy level of wedding decor.
