Fall days are here, and so many couples love the season for its inherent romance. And with every wedding we photograph, we find that every wedding has a different love story to tell. Today we feature Detroit couple Jessica and Adam and take a  look back from their engagement session to their wedding day.
 
Jessica and Adam chose a casual but fall inspired look for their engagement session that they had in early fall in Downtown Detroit. Jessica was in a plaid shirt and booties while Adam wore denim button-up with jeans. We think the pair complimented their backdrop seamlessly! The two started at the water's edge, and their photographer shot classic photos of the two arm in arm and posing candidly. They moved about the park and kept things simple but scenic - the tall grasses framing the couple on the bench, a water fountain adding movement and linear detail, and touches of iconic Detroit in the background. The session went amazing!

Fast forward to a year later, Jessica and Adam’s wedding day was here and fantastically fall! They choose Waldenwoods as their Detroit wedding venue and being a fall wedding, Jessica and Adam choose classic colors to represent the season. Deep red, green and ivory were rich and romantic for the day. We loved how Jessica had her first look with her bridesmaids. Cute, right? Jessica wore a beautiful strapless dress with long, lace train, and she kept her veil simple but elegant. The colors of her bouquet complimented their wedding day exquisitely.waldenwoods
 
We loved that a little rain on their wedding day didn’t dampen their spirits! We thought that their photos outside on the drizzly, overcast day were the most romantic, and the umbrella was a surprisingly sweet prop for their fall day.  At the reception, garlands of greenery and gold accents decorated the tables, and no detail was spared, as they incorporated a ton of amazing florals and candles. Their cake topper was such a noteable detail of their reception! Three Polaroid pictures captured their love and sat atop the cake in a fun and unique way.
