Jasmin & Jason's Belle Voir Manor Philadelphia Wedding

You know what's better than one drop-dead gorgeous wedding?

Two drop-dead gorgeous weddings! Two weddings filled with cultural details and a beauty that only the bride herself can accurately describe:

Our wedding was one of the most special and amazing times I have ever had. Not only did it feel like the entire week was filled with fun, love, laughter and joy from all the friends and family that started to come in to town, but because of my family's traditions, we had events starting the Thursday prior to the actual ceremonies. Jason and I met in Philadelphia one night out a few years ago and got engaged in January 2012. As we started to plan the multi-cultural, multi-day wedding festivities, we realized that this was going to be no small feat! Not only did we have a pretty large guest list due to the size of our families, we also really wanted to celebrate both aspects of our religious traditions. On top of that, we had an added layer of complexity that we would need a venue that would both allow us to have both American and Indian cuisines, to accommodate both of our relatives' tastes and preferences. And we had to do this with a strict budget in mind! That meant getting married out of season and on a Sunday. After an exhaustive search for a venue that would fit all of our needs, we fell in love with the Belle Voir Manor in Bensalem, PA. It would accommodate the Hindu ceremony inside, the Christian ceremony outside, and had a large space for cocktail hour. The day of the wedding was beautiful - a warm and sunny summer day. Because the venue had huge windows that overlooked the river, we kept the decor to a minimum to let the view shine. We chose navy and fuschia as our colors, complimented by grey and gold accents, and had carnations and submerged orchids as our centerpieces. Our DJ also added a lighting scheme that really enhanced the soft ambiance. It was really important to us that our guests had a good time. They loved our mashed potato bar - we still get comments about how good it was! More than one person has mentioned how it was the best wedding food they have had. We also had a photobooth, which was a blast! Everyone seemed to really enjoy it and were able to take home prints as a favor. Our DJ made sure that everyone was on the dance floor the entire night. I think the best part of the day for me was that I got to experience walking down the aisle see Jason standing there twice, with all of our friends and family sharing in our joy and in each family's traditions. More than anything else that day, the overwhelming happiness that I felt both times was something that I will never forget.
