Phew! Did December & January fly by quickly or what!?
I can’t believe it’s already almost February-- Valentines day will be here before we know it! The blog has been chock-full of winter inspiration over the past few months, so we asked our Inside Sales manager, Gabi, to do our two-month round up! Not only does Gabi have an incredible eye for beautiful inspiration, but winter is her absolute favorite season! She says this is because winter makes her think of "family, love, and new beginnings" :) Take a look at all her wonderful picks and get ready for one last fun month of winter! Xo, Danielle
Swoon Worthy Snow: Snow! I love winter so much, and snow makes me dizzy with delight! Living in Chicago I get plenty of cold days during the winter months, but sometimes snow is hard to come by! Seeing this sweet couple amidst the snow capped mountains makes me swoon. I couldn’t think of a more perfect backdrop to such a lovely moment.
Vintage Details: Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong century! A small detail like this vintage cameo really goes a long way! Whether it’s a family heirloom you want to use as your “something old” or if it’s just because you long to live in the time of Downton Abbey, I say go big or go home… it’s your wedding day afterall!
Complimentary Bridesmaids: Having your best friends stand by your side on the most important day of your life is truly something special. I firmly believe that your bridal party should shine! And this bridal party certainly nailed it. I love the gorgeous glittery dresses that make a statement, yet don’t overpower the bride.
Stunning Shoes: Shoes are everything. Chances are, people wont even see them, and you’ll probably kick ‘em to the curb once you hit the dance floor. But so long as YOU know what you’re rockin’ on your feet, taking them to the nines is always the way to go. These mint t-straps are simply divine!
Seaside Sweet Spot: Growing up in Alaska, the Pacific Ocean runs through my veins. Seeing this seaside venue made me feel incredibly nostalgic! Despite it looking like a cold dreary San Francisco day, this picture gave me the warm fuzzies! I also love the Christmas lights on the roof of the Boat Shack.
Bouquets with Personality: All. White. Everything. I love the use of natural elements in this stunning, non-traditional bouquet. Flowers are an extension of your personality, and I think the combination of hard and soft not only gives this bouquet dimension, but it makes it a unique focal point.
Furry BFF's: As a major dog lover and pet parent, I totally feel this couple. My dog is my best friend, and would absolutely be part of my wedding day. Who better to stand by your side than your furry, four legged bestie, am I right?
Winter Romance: Have I mentioned I love winter? The light dusting of snow and the pop of red in this otherwise simple photo just spews romance. Also, I’m obsessed with this bride’s fur stole! Such an understated yet bold detail. And if we’ve learned anything, it’s all about the details!
Confidence is Key: It’s not all about the bride! Let’s be honest… we know most eyes will be on the bride, but the groom deserves his moment too! I absolutely adore this groom's charcoal grey three piece suit. It’s timeless, classy, and sharp. I love how he compliments his bride! You can tell he is proud of how he looks, and clearly, confidence photographs well!
World Travelers: Props. I love a good prop during an engagement session, and boy have I seen them all. However, this is the first time I’ve seen a map! I LOVE this idea! As an avid traveler, I immediately get a sense of this couple’s adventurous side. I can’t help but wonder what their story is. Did they meet in some exotic place? Did they get engaged while on a trip somewhere? I just love it!
And that concludes our two month inspiration wrap-up! Thank you so much to Gabi for sharing her wonderful thoughts with us. Be sure to check back next month to see what someone else in the office has to say about February!
