Coresiding with the drama is a relatability to the city which comes from being a home to thousands of people from a variety of different stories and backgrounds. A photographer’s muse and a paradise for lovers, the Big Apple of America, New York, is a city full of high rises, iconic black and yellow taxis, and a blur of people heading on with their busy lives. There is a definite buoyancy to the city rush which is inviting and mesmerizing. The city is also filled with a tantalizing combination of colors and textures, resulting in beautiful captures. There is a huge range of iconic structures dotting NYC, from the iconic Brooklyn Bridge to the glittering Times Square, from the urban backyard Central Park to the glorious Statue of Liberty, and each one of these structures makes the city what it is. Fritz and Veronique’s engagement photo shoot was a picture straight out of a cozy holiday card, with a sprinkling of a whole lot of love. With the warmth of a hot chocolate and the crisp breeze, this engagement photo session is enough to warm up the coldest of hearts. On a balmy fall day, these two love birds decided to pose for pictures to announce their engagement with, and the city of New York provided the perfect background to serve the purpose. Veronique looked like a neutral dream, dressed in a white long sleeve jumper and camel-toned poncho thrown over it. A pair of black skinny jeans and tan booties completed her outfit. Her long dark hair was allowed to sway free and a pair of dangly earrings dressed up her look. The gorgeous engagement ring took its place on her finger and glimmered enticingly. Fritz looked sharp as he was dressed up in beige chinos and a crisp white button-down shirt with a heathered blue knit quarter zip-up. A pair of brown boots and a smartwatch completed his look. The colors chosen by the couple seemed to go together like milk and honey and made a pretty picture! We loved how our New York wedding photographer captured the crackling chemistry between the two in such a delicate way! The venue they chose for the photo session matched their vibes perfectly, with fallen leaves for good measure, romantic walkways, and lakeside views. We loved the playful captures where Fritz carried Veronique, and the glass-like water and the skyscrapers on the horizon peeked into the frames to complete the picture. There were several amazing backdrops to play with, like the concrete steps, the iron benches by the walkways, and the sprawling grounds. We loved the little details like the chalk paper signs saying ‘He asked’ and ‘She said yes’, which gave the shoot a cutesy feel. The engagement ring on the maple leaves was a nice touch too for a detailed shot. We loved the feel-good feeling that these pictures transfused and the warm tones and the romantic vibes that the pictures brought out. It was obvious by the way that they looked at each other that they have a lot of love and playfulness between them.

The wedding day gave us another peek at this lovely couple’s love story yet again. The couple had their wedding ceremony at Good Seed Church of God and the reception at the Watermill Caterers and both places seemed to communicate their wedding style perfectly. While Good Seed Church of God is located in Central Islip, New York and is a beautiful church with a gorgeous white interior with touches of wood, the Watermill Caterers is nestled on the North Shore of Long Island, and is filled with rustic elegance and the perfect serene environment for a couple to say “I do”. One of Long Island's best-kept secrets, this wedding location is a perfect oasis of nature amidst the city blur. While the outdoor event space is filled with greenery, lush green shrubs, flowers, and aged trees, it also has many romantic cubby hole spots and cute bridges to make one’s day memorable in the best way. The entrance is phenomenal and is a perfect spot for most New York wedding photographers to capture the grandeur of the setting. The outdoor spaces light up under twinkly lights in the evening and create an enchanting atmosphere. The indoor space is light and airy yet elegant and makes a perfect spot for a wedding reception with your friends and family. The abundant natural lighting helps the NYC wedding photographers take the perfect images. As the night falls, the glamorous lighting of the interiors makes the place glow up and adds a magical touch to one’s wedding reception. By choosing this venue, Fritz and Veronique added an easy elegance to the wedding and half the job was already done by just stepping into this stunning venue. 

The wedding day was kicked off with the brides and her girls getting ready for the ceremony. Veronique and her bridesmaids wore matching pink robes as they posed for a cute getting-ready picture to capture the moment. Our blushing bride soon changed into her gorgeous bridal dress which was a gorgeous mermaid style dress with intricate embroidery details along the bodice and neckline and the bottom of the dress flowed outwards perfectly. While the back of the dress was a delicate assembly of lacework, the sweetheart neckline was flattering and perfect for the day. The beaded silver work in the dress was reflected in the sparkling silver shoes and the silver accessories that she put together for the occasion. We love the silver dangling earrings which looked pretty and stole all the attention. Her hair was tousled in beautiful waves and pinned away on one side with a sparkling hair clip, mirroring the silver throughout the outfit. The long veil was translucent and floaty and completed Veronique’s bridal look perfectly. The bridal bouquet was a short minimal bouquet, finishing the elegant look quite perfectly. The bridesmaids were looking stunning in light peachy toned dresses which went with the whole color scheme quite agreeably. The mother of the bride wore a beige dress which looked understated yet classy, making the perfect addition to the wedding party. The flower girl dresses had our hearts as they looked adorable on the sweet girls. A flowy elegant floor-length dress with a heart cut-out in the back is sweet and a nice touch. Fritz looked dashing in his classic black suit and black bow tie. His crisp white shirt looked amazing and a touch of foliage in his boutonnieres was understated and suave. Overall he looked handsome and ready to be married. The groomsmen were all wearing matching indigo suits and balanced the pink in the bridesmaid dresses perfectly. The perfect balance of colors and elegance of the bride and groom was worth capturing. Our New York wedding photographer did an amazing job capturing the wedding party in a beautiful wedding venue and the couple photography featuring just the bride and groom turned out stunning as well. We loved how the bride and the groom stuck to the traditional colors and looks while they unleashed their colorful side with the bursts of colors in the bridesmaid and groomsmen dresses.
