While Labor Day brings the official end of summer, we're hoping that the weather holds out a little longer-- and we'll be celebrating wearing white all year... because that's kind of our thing. As we look back at a season full of to-die-for weddings, here are our "best of summer" wedding details. 

Beach Photo Ops

A day at the beach is a forever summer icon. A sandy backdrop leading to a beautiful shoreline is the perfect photo op for getting ready photos and wedding portraits. 

Light and Airy Dresses

Gauzy, ethereal dresses highlight the atmosphere of the sunshine season while also keeping you comfortable. Nothing beats a breathable dress for outdoor weddings to keep you cool and looking chic all day long, even if the temps hit a record high. Put your bridesmaids in something light and comfortable, and they'll love you forever. 

Airy Wedding Dressed and Jacketless Groom Looks

Keep. It. Comfortable. Going without the jacket-- or keeping your dress light-- can end up being a more formal look in the summer because it keeps you cool, calm, and collected. Say goodbye to the tux and long-sleeved wedding dresses in favor of breezy garments (unless your wedding is air-conditioned, in which case, do you). 

Nature Walks

Going for a stroll down a tree-lined path or through a pasture can work wonders for calming wedding nerves. Nature walks can work double duty, providing a wonderful spot for wedding portraits or an intimate location for first looks. 

Nautical Details

Ahoy! There's a wedding on the horizon! Nautical details, color palettes, and backdrops are perfect for a summer wedding. You can embrace the cozy #lakelife nautical style or go for a more dressed-up, preppy yacht club vibe. 

Outdoor Ceremony and Reception

The best part about summer is getting outside. We stan outdoor summer ceremonies and receptions. Come rain or shine, your guests will have a fantastic time. And is there any better backdrop than the great outdoors?

Nostalgia Photo Ops

You don't have to keep the childhood flashbacks for photos in the centerpieces (but we love those, too). We love a nostalgic wedding photo op with rope swings and tire swings. Pickup trucks and docks can give your wedding portraits a quaint, vintage feel. 

Sunglasses

Let's be real, sunglasses always look killer with formal wear. The summer months are an excuse to rock sunglasses in photos, though we recommend taking them off for the ceremony if you can. Your guests want to see the love in your eyes!

Flowers, Flowers Everywhere

Lush, full bouquets, floral arches, overflowing arrangements. Summer is the season of abundance. The world is in bloom. Show that off with resplendent floral arrangements. 

Greenery

Natural greenery, but make it fashion. Greenery adds volume to your floral arrangements (see above), and it lends bouquets a natural, lush feel. 

Barn Celebrations

There's no better time for a rustic, barn wedding than in the summer. String lighting, exposed beam, and an evening breeze-- sounds like a dream.

Sometimes there's a sunset so beautiful you have to take it all in... and let your wedding photographer capture the moment. Embrace the colors and relish in the beauty of a summer sunset. 

Floral Prints

Make a splash with bold floral prints and vibrant color palettes. There's never a better season to embrace floral prints than when the flowers are actually in bloom. We love the way this can heighten the ambiance of a wedding. Plus, you can choose traditional or modern floral prints depending on your desired style.
