The best part of a fall engagement photography session is the fact that the changing leaves bring every shot to life with vibrant, painterly color. Amanda and David made good use of peak season for their casual Chicago engagement session.
These two thought ahead, carefully planning their maroon color scheme to match the autumn leaves. They made a few outfit changes along the way, always keeping it casual and cozy. David even donned his police uniform for a peek into their personal life!
Amanda and David chose a gorgeous, laid-back location just outside of Chicago - Independence Grove Forest Preserve in Libertyville. They looked so comfortable and totally at ease - an important thing to keep in mind for your engagement photography session!
As they wandered through the park, they were naturally playful and genuinely enjoying each other. You can tell those laughs are real!
This happy couple really explored their surroundings, which allowed their Chicago engagement photographer to capture them among different backdrops. They ventured down meandering paths strewn with fallen leaves, wide open fields with tall tufts of wheat, rolling hills of vibrant trees and even an inland lake that reflected the warm hues of changing leaves.
Amanda and David used the elements in their natural setting as props - from the park bench overlooking the water to the graphic industrial bridge. And that heart-shaped leaf that happened to be on their path? So sweet!
We love that there was a burst of fall color in every photo - bold strokes of red, orange or yellow. Mother nature is quite the artist!
