Rustic weddings certainly vary depending on the venue location and details included. Atlanta sweethearts Alexander and Todd had a truly rustic wedding in the backwoods of Hampton, GA, and it’s one for the books!
The pair had their wedding day at McCrite’s Cottonwood Estate. This laid-back atmosphere easily hosts a small, intimate affair, or something bigger - up to 200 guests. Alexander and Todd opted for close friends and family and didn’t skip any of the personalized details.
The couple's photographer was there to capture all the getting ready moments. Demonstrating the perfect way to do elevated casual attire, the couple chose alternative groom styles - dark jeans, sharp vests, and floral ties. The look was unique to each groom and was perfect for their wedding day setting.
Their ceremony was held outdoors among the tall trees and autumn air, and guests followed the perfectly rustic and whimsey wedding signs to the ceremony site. The antique bicycle with a basket of baby's breath and the handwritten quality of their wedding programs were incredibly charming! Under a simple wooden arch, the pair happily exchanged I do's.
Are you here for the reception details? The decor and personalization of the couple’s reception space were so romantic, so whimsey, and above all, thoughtful! We loved the lounge area with ivory couch and chairs, like a cozy and inviting outdoor living room. Their farmhouse tables were adorned with antique amber and blue glass, petite pink roses and more sprigs of baby’s breath. Votives and string lights warmed the open-air reception space. And might we point out the nod to Harry Potter and the couple’s love for the series? Stacks of books were included in multiple areas throughout.
A sparkler exit and a few amazing night portraits ended their charming southern soiree. We loved how warm, inviting and creative Alexander and Todd’s day was!
