A Winter Fête At Metropolis Ballroom In Arlington Heights

Is there something else that resonates with magic and whimsy as much as a winter wedding tale? Weddings in winter hit differently when the humidity and sweltering heat becomes things of the past, the grounds are covered in a frosty white color and the air smells of hot cappuccino and cinnamon coffee. Adding warmth and charm to the frosty and snowy days, the chic winter wedding ideas throw festive and fête-worthy confetti to the most magical time of the year. Ranging from crafting a wedding venue from scratch to capture the spirit of the winter season to decking the reception hall up with inspirational shabby-chic winter aesthetics, well-planned wedding décor ideas can transform and amplify an entire winter wedding look

From stunning snowy wedding photos to holiday-themed decorations capturing the enigmatic spirits, it is very easy to see why more and more couples are opting for winter weddings. While weddings in summer are stunning in a completely different way, it could make a hot mess of a bride's carefully coiffed wedding makeup and hairstyle. Wintertime nuptials evoke a rare kind of beauty as there are many celebrations aligned with the holidays and your wedding guests will more likely have a celebratory feel for the ongoing and upcoming holidays. From the bucolic and wintery color palettes to deep and dark flowers and décor, there are several elements of the winter season to inspire your wedding theme that will stand out in a sea of peonies. Whether your style is romantic or something truly out of the box, winter weddings bring a shade of rustic cozy vibe that can spell romance and timelessness like nothing else with its deeply hued wooden and copper accents.

Just like winter weddings have a way of winning you over and over again, we cannot wait to introduce our next newly married Chicago couple who is not only stunning for real but also has a way of communicating their timeless love story through wedding photos. The Chicago wedding photos of this star-crossed couple- Heather and Patrick can be your dose of s'mores and piping hot cocoa by the fireplace on a cold and frosty day. Making their celebrations delightful and refreshing with warm lighting, white flowers, and winter-inspired wardrobes, this amazing couple from Chicago gave us 'couple goals', two days before Christmas in 2019.

Setting the right tone for Christmas vibes, the winter fête of this amazing newlywed couple took place right in the heart of Arlington Heights' most celebrated jewel- the stunning Metropolis Ballroom wedding venue in Chicago. One simply cannot ignore the backdrop of this space that adds a hint of vintage touch to every picture that is shot in this location. The couple portraits of our amazing couple were clicked on the brick-laden sidewalks and the towering string lights to avail the best of wedding photography in Chicago suburbs.

The beautiful wedding day started on a warm winter morning with a dash of glow lighting up the entire atmosphere with romance and excitement. Our Chicago wedding photographer captured intricate details of the wedding day in full portrait mode, as a part of the wedding photography session. The remarkable 'save the date' invites of Patrick and Heather highlighted their engagement portrait featuring golden and navy blue details laid out intricately with wintery details. Our photographer captured the invaluable detailed shot with the engagement rings carefully placed on top of the invite, followed by the shot of the groom's suit carefully hung from a tree in full feature along with the beautiful groom shoes laid out alongside the wedding invite and boutonniere.

The mesmerizing groom portraits before the big day began, ranging from Patrick tying his shoelaces to him posing in front of the wedding venue with his gang of handsome groomsmen. Each groomsman looked outstanding, as they were draped in color-coordinated groomsmen outfits, and posed in front of the wedding venue and the sun shone brightly on them in the cold winter morning. The fabulous groomsmen attire featured completely formal royal blue three-piece suits with gray tuxedos and crisp white shirts, paired with burgundy colored satin ties and pocket squares, along with white and red boutonnieres. The color-coordinated groomsmen outfit was completed with rusty tan-brown shoes.

It was followed by a detailed portrait of the mesmerizing bridal dress hung against a wooden chest and the wedding invite laid out beneath the bridal veil with the shiny new bridal jewelry strewn all across like a dream. Heather beautifully showcased her bridal manicure as she held the wedding invite in a detailed shot. As the bridal gang got ready for the big day, Heather was draped in a dreamy white satin wrap-around dress, and her bridal gang was draped in burgundy-colored two-piece nightdresses that made the bridesmaid group photography session perfect for the Gram.

Our stunning bride Heather wore a crisp white off-shoulder satin ball gown that hugged her body at the right places and made a style statement on her wedding day. She paired it with an elegant silver studded belt and wore matching bridal jewelry, featuring silver studded drop earrings and a necklace. Her cascading bridal bouquet featured a red white and green flower collection that matched with the complete winter wedding details and her cathedral veil swept the ground like a dream making her look straight from a runway magazine. The bridal hairdo was neatly side-parted into a classic low chignon and clipped with trendy hair accessories. The timeless and romantic couple attire of Heather and Patrick truly suited the entire wintry settings in the backdrop making them look picture-perfect together. One of the most breathtaking moments was when the couple posed for their first look in front of the huge Christmas tree, followed by a series of impeccable couple portraits. This was when our bride decided to wrap in a dark gray faux shawl, that amazingly leveled up her winter bridal look even more.

The bridal gang orchestrated the entire wedding theme by wearing burgundy and red bridesmaid dresses and set the tone of an amazing winter wedding in Chicago. The matching bridesmaid bouquets added to the refreshing and rustic color palette of this wedding. The stunning bridal portraits with Heather posing like a real star, while flashing her brightest smile made our knees go weak, and as the couple posed for couple portraits, with the gorgeous suburban backdrop our wedding photographers in Chicago captured every detail in momentous portraits.

The wedding gang posed for a group photography session in front of a huge Christmas tree nestled in a round garden dotted with a cobblestone foundation. Ranging from the couple portraits that had a gorgeous windmill made out of surreal fairy lights to the wedding group photography done in front of the enormous Christmas tree, our Chicago wedding photographer did not miss a single opportunity to capture the fun and enthusiastic vibe of this unforgettable wedding day. The neighborhood of Arlington Heights came to life as backgrounds in the couple portraits, featuring towering trees and cobblestone pathways turning the entire atmosphere whimsical and romantic.

When the day came to an end, the wedding gang regrouped indoors and posed for some memorable group portraits, set against the gray backdrop with a vintage fireplace. Talking about the wedding details, the striking reminder of the pre-Christmas atmosphere came to life with the dreamy string lights and Christmas decorations that were carefully strewn as the backdrop of this Chicago wedding photography session. Whether it was the wintery wedding color palette that strictly revolved around deep and dark color hues suiting the atmosphere or the choice of wedding attires, everything screamed wintertime together in a totally joyful mood.

There are weddings and then there are weddings to remember. The moment we met Heather and Patrick we knew that they were head over heels in love with each other and couldn't wait to get married. It was the electrifying energy and powerful chemistry that this Chicago couple evoked that had us wanting for more at the end of the day. The beauty of the Chicago winter wedding will stay with us for a long time, not only because of its aesthetics but because of the sheer romantic and timeless character that it entailed for creating an experience of a lifetime for our professional photographers in Chicago.
