The decor possibilities for an outdoor wedding are as open and endless as the natural scenery around you. Mother Nature provides a pretty amazing blank canvas, and these inspiring ideas make it a masterpiece.
1. Altar Decor
Create a beautiful focal point at the altar by incorporating elements of nature. Airy accents add an ethereal touch, like delicate strands of daisy garland or drapery gathered with fresh blooms. Go more architectural with a ladder-like altar adorned with flower-filled vases on each step.
2. Ceremony Decor
Line the chairs along the aisle with Mason jars filled with garden blooms. Not only will this whimsical accent draw guests’ eyes to your long-awaited walk down the aisle, it’ll add life to every shot your wedding photographer capture! Want to invite guests to sit where they please? Add a charming easel sign with a fun saying.
3. Reception Decor
You can get really creative with reception decor in the great outdoors! Display wedding signage scripted with your names, wedding date and hashtag, or add a personal touch with a meaningful verse. Use rustic barrels and vintage trunks to prop party favors. Or, bring interior furniture outside for a touch of whimsy. Think: Shabby-chic doors personalized with your initials, or a reclaimed fireplace strewn with candlelit lanterns. For photo displays, think outside the frame and opt for a clothesline of polaroids.
4. Table Decor
Natural and rustic are the way to go with centerpieces - nothing too “done.” We like the idea of alternating tall vases of wildflowers with vintage candelabras.
